St Ives CC hosted the 5th round of the Eastern Region Youth Circuit Series at Alconbury Weald on Saturday. Over 20 clubs took part across 9 categories. The home club took 4 podiums and all of the St Ives CC team placed in the top 10.
Cora Wood came 2nd in the U8 girls race closely followed by team mate Ruby O’Dell who finished 3rd. Ralph Bicknell was 2nd in the U8 boys race and Liam Conway was 2nd in the U10 boys race.
Logan Lyons was 8th in the U10 boys race, Edward Lawrence was 7th in the U12 boys race with Henry Harris 8th and Jacob Wood 10th in the same race. Angus Lawrence was 5th in the U14 boys race, with team mate Ollie Maynard finishing in 7th. Nathan Gibson was 5th in the U16 boys race with Ben Hall finishing 7th.
The club also had podium success at 6th round of Mud Sweat and Gears at Hintlesham in Suffolk. Ruby O’Dell was 3rd in the U9 girls category. Sam Trotter was 3rd and Nathan Gibson was 4th in the youth male category. Sapphire Curtis Came 4th in the juvenile female category. Jack Taylor was 6th in the sport male category and Ian Megginson was 14th and Mick Curtis was 64th in the open male category.
