This year’s Road Race season is fast approaching with the NCRA handicaps on the horizon.
For those who wish to race, or give racing a go for the first time the handicapped series is the perfect place to start.
There are two sets of races this year, a March and an April series. The March series is now live on the British Cycling website for you to enter and the April races will be on soon.
This year we have 4 allocated spaces for each event. As a result, everyone should get a race that wants one.
Can I ask anybody that enters one of these to send me an email with the race(s) they have entered so in the event of the Club taking more than the 4 spaces per race a fair selection can be made. However, it is rare for these events to be oversubscribed.
The March Races and courses live on BC are as follows:
#1 04/03/2017 – Naseby
#2 11/03/2017 – Middleton
#3 18/03/2017 – Old
#4 25/03/2017 – Keysoe
The Dates and courses for April are:
#5 01/04/2017 – Southwick
#6 08/04/2017 – Old
#7 22/04/2017 – Old
#8 29/04/2017 – Oakham
Please look out on the BC website for when these events are live.
If you are thinking of getting into Road Racing or wanting to race more this year and are unsure about the entry processes, what’s involved, or just want more information about where to start please drop me an email and I will be more than happy to answer your questions.
I look forward to hearing back from you and happy riding.
