Having taken part in a few club TTs last year Alex Royle of Manchester Cycling Club was racing for the first time this year, but was still quickest in 23.35. Alex actually holds the 10m and 25m records for Armed Forces personnel in 18.25 and 46.50 respectively, both set in 2015! Fastest club member in second was Sean Purser in 24.03. Mike Hoy was fastest veteran in third with 24.36. Jess Williams was the fastest female in 25.37. The weather was somewhat cooler than previous weeks and the strong winds made it difficult for those opting for deep rims or disc wheels. I’m not sure anyone thought the conditions were quick, so well done to both Ollie and Steve who I think may have both set or been close to their PBs.
There are three time trials left with next weeks starting at 7pm. The final two will most likely see the first riders off at the earlier time of 6.30 to ensure everyone get around whilst still light.
