Mud Sweat and Gears
12 members of club race in the glorious sunshine at the 4th round of the Mud Sweat and Gears Eastern MTB League at Phoenix Cycleworks at Bury St Edmonds. The course was dry and dusty with lots of technical sections. This course will also host round 4 of the national MTB series in June.
The St Ives CC team got 3 podium finishes today. Nathan Gibson came 2nd in the junior male category, Sam Trotter was 3rd in the youth male race and Sapphire Curtis was 3rd in the juvenile female male race.
Beatrice Pauley came 5th in the juvenile female race, Orla Kenna came 6th in the U12 girls race, Ralf Falkner was 6th in the juvenile male race, Ruby O’Dell was 8th in the U9 girls race, Dominic Pauley was 9th in the U12 boys race, Leo Falkner was 10th in the open male category, Max Falkner was 14th in the youth male race, Ian Megginson was 15th in the open male category and Samuel Smith was 30th in the U12 boy’s race.
Primavera Circuit race
4 members of the club also took park in the 3rd round of CC Hackney’s Primavera Circuit race. Cora Wood came 3rd in the U10 girls race and Liam Conway came 6th in the U12 boy’s race, Aron OConnor came 9th and Jacob Wood came 10 in the same category.
