The club had more podium success at the weekend at 2 different cyclocross events.
The 7th round of the Central league was held at the very picturesque setting of Shuttleworth collage in Bedfordshire. Beatrice Pauley got her second podium of the weekend coming 2nd in the U14 girl’s race. Brother Dominic Pauley got his first podium of the season coming 3rd in the U12 boys race.
On Saturday, 16 St Ives CC riders tackled the extremely muddy and wet conditions at the 8th round of the Eastern Region cyclocross league at Bury St Edmonds.
Beatrice Pauley came 2nd in the U14 girls race and Cecilia Hime came 2nd in the Junior female race.
Orla Kenna came 4th in the U12 girls race, Dominic Pauley came 7th in the U12 boys race, Sapphire Curtis came 4th in the U14 girls race and Ralf Falkner came 7th in the U14 boys race. Max Falkner came 14th, Angus Lawrence came 18th and Ollie Maynard cane 20th in the U16 boys race. Nathan Gibson was 10th in the Junior male race, Nick Smith came 35th in the Veteran male race, Joshua Ibbett was 10th in the Senior male race, Andy Fountain was 7th and Mick Curtis was 55th in the Veteran Male 50-59 age category. Due to the very muddy conditions St Ives CC riders had to DNF with mechanicals, Leo Falkner and Tim Phillips.
