St Ives CC secured 3 podium finishes today at round 3 of the eastern region MTB league, Mud Sweat and Gears. The race was held at Henham Park in Suffolk in the glorious sunshine.
Sam Trotter, age 15, came 3rd in the youth male race whilst Sapphire Curtis, age 13, came 3rd in the juvenile female race and Ruby O’Dell came 3rd in the U9 girls race.
Ralf Falkner, age 11, narrowly missed a podium in the U12 boys race after a nail-biting sprint into the line. Nathan Gibson, age 16 also came 4th in the youth male race.
Dominic Pauley, age 11, came 11th in the U12 boys race and team-mate Jacob Wood, also age 11, came 20th in the same category. Cora Wood, age 7, came 6th in the U9 girls race and Orla Kenna, age 10, came 4th and Lily Gibson, age 12, came 10th in the U12 girls race.
Leo Falkner also had a great race in the competitive open male race category, coming 11th out of 77 riders. Mick Curtis came 60th in the same category.
