Evening TT results

On blustery April evening, saw 13 riders take to the NX15/10 Sawtry Course for our first Time Trial session of the evening.

At least the roads where dry and it was still light, when we finished, we saw some decent times for the conditions.

Top honours went to Charlie Bratt came in with a solid 25:14. Mike looked good and composed on the bike and with a 25:33 was not far off the pace.

Kevin Cummings and Simon Piddick had a good road racing battle, with Kevin eventually pulling away on the final incline.

Our only lady rider of the evening was Wendy Gooding. Wendy always gives her rides 110%, tonight was no exception.

We are without Mick Butler now. Mick was Mr Reliable on the Timekeeping front; Netty has inherited the job and was fortunate to have Jennie Tillott, Steve Purser, Sarah and Holly Hoy help her out. (Many thanks also to Terry Cooke for turning up just to give Netty pair of Stop Watches).

Many thanks to Berenice for Signing-on and marshalling at Monks Wood with her daughter Sapphire. Rob and Sam Harding, for marshalling on Sawtry Roundabout. Lastly Chris Lawrence for taking the Industrial Estate Roundabout.

Also, big thanks to Colin Brooker (Colin won the award for Long Service to the Club last year). Colin turns up every week at the Wednesday Evening TT’s and performs the role of Starter – Yes he’s the one that holds you up straight and gives you a gentle push!
