And that is it for the club TT for this season 🙁 although we still have the hill climb next week.
I am sure everyone was not glad that an ex swimmer from South Africa was in charge of TT’s last night. Everyone was looking at the sky thinking should we ride and I made the decision that the TT was going ahead as only a few drops of rain were falling. The advise was just to take it easy and get around safely as the roads were quite wet. Although I did get a lot of thanks you once they had ridden with big beaming smiles with some good results.
I think the three youngest riders, Keelann, Owain and Angus all done PB’s and so did Wendy. The club members helping for marshalling duties was Stephen Alexander and Bill Rogers. Also helping in addition to Mick, Colin, Dave & Netty were Tony Rigby (Daniel & David’s dad), Becky Gibson and Keith & Julia Wardley-Kershaw.
A massive thank you to Jennie and Wendy for making such delicious cakes. And Steve for stopping at Tesco to add to the pile of cakes with some very delicious cup cakes. St Ives does not need to go looking for cafe stops for good cake – we have 2 very good bakers in our mist we could just stop at their houses.
Thank you to everyone who made the TT’s such a success this season – the riders, Mick, Colin, Dave and Netty and all the marshals. And thank you for bearing with Dan and myself as we found our feet this year in running the TT’s this year.
