Thank you for everyone who turned up to ride TT last night. I hope you had a better ride than me. You know it is not going to be a good ride when you arrive at the start line hungry!
A couple of achievements to recognise this week:
- Well done to Jennie who has just earned her cat 2 licence!! If I am correct Jennie only started road racing last year so this is an excellent achievement. Although she has picked up an injury so we wish you a speedy recovery. Thank you for coming down to help out at TT last night. It was lovely to see you again.
- Jeff Mercer who rode his first TT last night. He came just to have a look with no intention to ride but got roped into riding by Rob Harding and Paul Gibson. I think you two should ride next week.
- And Becky Gibson who got all the marshals organised last night for me. Thank you – could not have done it without your help.
A couple of points to TT riders now:
- Thankfully James cleared up some glass at the turning to the dump for us last night that had been thrown down on the road while he was there. Please watch out going forward for glass in the road. I do usually ride the course before hand for training but last night I did not, but from the sound of the following it happened after I would have ridden the course so I would not have seen it.
- I have been told that some of the cornering at the dump was not very safe where riders were going onto the wrong side of the road. Please can you ensure that you are not crossing over the white line.
- Please can you ensure you shout out your number to Mick at the finish line.
If any one out there is still thinking of riding TT time is running out. I think there are only 5 TT’s left this season. Therefore come down and get the bug before the end of the season. They are for all – it is you against the clock.
