Last weekend the sun shone for a group of 17 of us that journeyed across to Wales to ride the fantastic trails of Coed Y Brenin, we met in this great bunk house in Dolgellau on Friday evening, ready to ride out on the Saturday morning. We split into two groups with 11 of us making our way up high into the mountains, with 6 others not going up quite so high.
Coed Y Brenin has some of the best single track riding here to be had in the UK, We climbed 838m on Saturday over the 4 1/2hrs we were in the saddle, encountering ice in many places with a few of us having Bambi moments! And we climbed 470m over a couple of hours on Sunday.
We enjoyed some breath-taking views and the hard climbs were rewarded with epic single track downhill sections, some fast flowing a smooth, others rocky and technical. Everybody thoroughly enjoying the weekend and all are wanting to go back soon.
